What is a Guardian Home?
At Bella Mia we want the best for our babies. Sometimes a guardian home is best. In a guardian home our male or female has more one on one attention. Some dogs don’t like the chaos of multiple dogs, so do better as an only (or one of two) dog.
Another benefit is finding the right fit while they’re younger, that way when they retire they already have their forever home.
The dog would be your pet. Breeding rights remain with me.
Girls return to me for breeding, usually 2 or 3 days for a couple of hours each. Then come to stay here a week before her delivery, she would remain here until her puppies are weaned. After she is returned to you until her next breeding.
She will have 1-4 litters, determined by myself and my vet. She will then be spayed and live out her retired life with you.
Boys come to me or directly to the vets office. Each time I will need him for 2 to 3 days for a couple of hours each day.
How often will vary. When I have decided, he will be neutered and live out his life with you. With males there isn’t a set age or amount of breedings. So he could retire at 2 or not until 7!
Spaying and neutering will be paid for by Bella Mia Frenchies.
Cost
Your cost is half what that specific dog would be sold for. Usually half of $5000-8500.
The puppy would come to you between 8-12 weeks old, or older. Would have age appropriate vaccinations (depending on age), vet checked, microchipped, food and a wonderful puppy starter pack.
Benefit
You get a top of the line, breeding quality, purebred French Bulldog for a fraction of the price.
Our guardian homes are an extremely important part of our breeding program.
